In October 2016, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment’s Digital Marketing, Paid Media and Publicity teams came together to create a 360 mock-political campaign bringing some comic relief to the heavy controversial United States Presidential Election of 2016 in order to promote the Seth Rogen raunchy animated comedy movie on Blu-ray and Digital.
The campaign was deemed a huge success as it surpassed internal social reach, engagement and video view benchmarks as well as over performing against our competitive title set in the SAUSAGE PARTY release schedule.
SAUSAGE PARTY went on to be SPHE’s highest performing products (Digital and Physical) as well as winning iTunes pick for “Best Comedy of the Year” in their “Best of 2016″ series”.
